John Stammers’ first collection, Panoramic Lounge-bar (Picador) was awarded the Forward Prize for Best First Collection 2001 and was shortlisted for the Whitbread Poetry Award. He was appointed Judith E. Wilson Fellow at the University of Cambridge in 2002. His last collection, Stolen Love Behaviour (Picador) was a Poetry Book Society Choice and was shortlisted for both the Forward Prize for Best Collection 2005 and the T.S. Eliot Prize. He lives in Islington, London, where he was born.
