Tim Turnbull was born in North Yorkshire in 1960 and lives in Scotland. He has been performing his poetry (in the UK and abroad) for over ten years, and in January 2006 he won 'The Contenders', a £10,000 Performance Poetry Fellowship, awarded by the Arts Foundation. His first full collection, Stranded in Sub-Atomica (Donut Press, 2005), was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. Tim recently published es lebt (roughbooks, 2009), a selection of his poems in English and German translation and Caligula on Ice and Other Poems (Donut Press, 2009).
